Staff Support Unit for Capacity Building Activities of JNNURM and Other Schemes of the Ministry of Urban Development.

This was funded by JnNURM, Government of India. Duration of the Project was 36 months starting June 2013. The Scope of the Work is as follows.

• Conduct a rapid TNA among a representative sample of ULBs.
• Identify new initiatives in capacity building being carried out by different agencies and help wider use of such initiatives by others.
• To provide support to training programmes of ULBs in different states by different agencies in terms of making resource material available and also be available as resource persons, if required.
• Visit the capacity building programmes being conducted for various states and Mission cities by different agencies at regular intervals for monitoring and ensuring quality of the programmes and provide necessary support.
• Scrutinize the programmes being conducted for adherence to the training modules prepared under JnNURM. Provide necessary support and guidance to the ULBs and training institutes, so that capacity building is completed in time as planned.
• Develop a MIS for the capacity building programmes in different states by different agencies
• A rating system of different training institutions based on select chosen indicators
• Knowledge Management: To develop a platform to disseminate the available information to all the identified and interested stakeholders.
• Research studies: Provide inputs related to methodology, design of instruments and data analysis and report writing.
