Evaluation of Forestry works for the period 2009-15 in Hassan Circle.

The study was funded by the Forestry Department, Government of Karnataka. The scope of the evaluation is various forestry works undertaken in different divisions/ ranges for the last Six Years on different forestry schemes. The status of the following aspects was assessed:

• Raising of plantations,
• Soil moisture conservation works,
• Specialized works of Wildlife, Research and Planning wings,
• Construction and maintenance of buildings,
• Maintenance of forest roads,
• Creation and maintenance of other infrastructure,
• Distribution of seedlings to farmers/public,
• Delivering benefits to SC/ST households, and
• Other works connected with forest development.
