National Level Monitor (NLM) for Ministry of Rural Development (MoRD):
STEM has carried out SIX rounds of regular monitoring in TEN states. Details are as follows.
- Tamil Nadu in Phase-1 & Telangana in Phase-2 of the year 2017-18;
- Tamil Nadu and Kerala in Phase-1 & Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra in Phase-2 for the year 2018-19; and
- Kerala and Tamil Nadu in Pahse-1 and Telangana and Maharashtra in Phase-2 of the year 2019-20 were covered.
During these visits performance of the key programmes of MoRD namely i) MGNREGA (ii) DAY-NRLM (iii) PMAY-G (iv) NSAP (v) PMGSY (vi) DDU-GKY (vii) SAGY (viii) PMKSY (ix) DILRMP is assessed. In each regular round NLM team go to one or two states as assigned by the MoRD. In each state two or three districts are visited and in each district 10 villages from two to four blocks are randomly selected by the MoRD for the monitoring visits by the NLMS. Beneficiaries of different schemes are interviewed in each GP and records are reviewed. Quality of works under MGNREGA and PMAY-G are assessed.
In addition, two special rounds were carried “Gram Swaraj Abhyian” in TWO districts of Telangana in April 2018 and Extended Gram Swaraj Abhyian in TWO districts of Odisha in August 2018.
