Initial Environmental Examination (IEE) Study for Drinking Water Supply Multi Village Scheme covering rural villages/ habitations of Yadgir District, Karnataka State - Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Department (RWSSD), Government of Karnataka.

The study entailed Evaluation of Existing Bulk Water Supply Components; land requirement for the project infrastructure; project implementation schedule; and environmental regulatory compliance. An environmental profile of Yadgir district was compiled; ecological resources’ economic development and socio-cultural resources were studied. Potential environmental impacts due to location, design, construction and Operations and Maintenance were examined and various mitigation measures were screened. Public consultations and stakeholder workshops were held. An environmental Management plan was the output of the assignment outlining institutional arrangements required, training needs, monitoring and reporting requirements. The report offers various recommendations to address the impacts envisaged.
