Health Sanitation and Hygiene Education (HSHE) Management Consultancy for Karnataka Integrated Rural Water Supply and Environmental Sanitation Project (KIRWS & ESP).
It was funded by the World Bank. Duration of the Project was 32 months (November 1997 to Jun 2000). Services provided are:
- Conduct of KAP study
- Development of IEC material and planning of mass media programmes;
- Carrying out capacity building exercises;
- Promoting Community Participation (CP) activities.
- Preparation of Village Action Plans.
- Promotion of Household Latrines (HHLs) and Sanitation.
- Promotion of Inter and intra-Personal communications at household, community and institutional levels to promote personal and community hygiene and environmental sanitation.
- Monitoring of HSHE Activities and Co – ordination with NGOs, DPMUs and CP Management
