Health Sanitation and Hygiene Education (HSHE) Management Consultancy for Karnataka Integrated Rural Water Supply and Environmental Sanitation Project (KIRWS & ESP).

It was funded by the World Bank. Duration of the Project was 32 months (November 1997 to Jun 2000). Services provided are:

• Conduct of KAP study
• Development of IEC material and planning of mass media programmes;
• Carrying out capacity building exercises;
• Promoting Community Participation (CP) activities.
• Preparation of Village Action Plans.
• Promotion of Household Latrines (HHLs) and Sanitation.
• Promotion of Inter and intra-Personal communications at household, community and institutional levels to promote personal and community hygiene and environmental sanitation.
• Monitoring of HSHE Activities and Co – ordination with NGOs, DPMUs and CP Management
