Evaluation of the Student Police Cadet (SPC) Project in Karnataka implemented by Home Department.

The study was funded by the Karnataka Evaluation Authority. Four districts were covered which include Bengaluru, Mysuru, Shivamogga and Kodagu with 40 SPC schools and 10 Non-SPC schools. 445 SPC Cadets, 112 non-SPC students, 110 CPO/Dis, 262 parents were interviewed as part of the study. Secondary data was collected from the department and interviews and FGDs were conducted to collect the information. Based on the analysis short term and long term and policy recommendations were included in the final report.
