Evaluation of Mid-day Meals Scheme (MMS) in Karnataka.

The study was financed by Department of Public Instruction (DPI), Government of Karnataka. The duration of the study was THREE months starting July 2014. The study is a sample survey of 4500 beneficiaries of MDM from 450 schools covering all taluks of Karnataka. Data was generated on

• Nutritional and health status based on a) anthropometric measurements and b) Haemoglobin level;
• Learning abilities
• Trend in enrolment, attendance was also analysed
