Directory of Indian Building Materials. Starting form 1994-95, a series of seven editions of the Directory were brought out. The last directory was for 2006-07.

This was financed by Building Materials & Promotion Council (BMTPC), Ministry of Urban Affairs Employment, Government of India, New Delhi. It started with India and later extended coverage to Bhutan and Nepal. The directory provides general guidelines, applications, technical specifications and standards, etc., of building materials and products. The information available in the directory enables manufacturers to re-orient their corporate and marketing strategies, since the directory will reach Indian counterparts in both Bhutan and Nepal. Data was collected from about 2000 manufacturers.
