GENESIS & GROWTH
STEM is an inter-disciplinary professional research group registered as a society under the Karnataka Societies Registration Act, 1960. It was established as a not-for-profit organisation on September 1, 1987, at Bangalore. It was started by a group of professionals with extensive experience in academics, industry and government.
Over the past 30 years, STEM has carried out more than 300 Research, Consultancy & Capacity Building assignments in a wide range of disciplines for a large cross-section of client organizations. The Society adopts a symbiotic approach in executing these assignments. The organization developed irrefutable credibility for rapid assessment, impact assessments, role as technical support agency, preparing city development plans, housing and land development, sectoral reforms among others.
STEM established the School of Management for Infrastructure and Development Studies (MINDS), at Bangalore, on July 1, 2005. The school offered one-year Post Graduate Diploma in Infrastructure Management (PGDIM) and two-year MBA (Infrastructure Management), on behalf of Karnataka’s prestigious Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) between 2005 and 2012.
