Documentation of Sustainable Agriculture and Women Empowerment through Rural Development Approach (SAWERA).

The study received financial support from the State Institute for Management of Agriculture. Duration of the study was SIX months starting June 2004. This document prepared by STEM provided a detailed coverage of aspects such as the strategy & approach adopted in the implementation of SAWERA, various interventions made under the programme, and the factors which constrained/ facilitated those interventions. It also presented a gender-sensitive social, economic & technological assessment of the outcome of the programme interventions as also the success stories/ case studies from different districts, and the lessons learnt during the process of implementation of SAWERA.
